Motorbike Charity Run Update

A One Tyres hosted a well attended and successful charity motorbike run on Sunday 24 May 2009. There was hardly room to manoeuvre in the A One yard as hundreds of motorbikes lined up to participate in the 70 mile run. There was plenty of craic as bikers registered, had a cuppa or a burger, viewed the display bikes and prepared to set off. Everyone generously donated to the fund and loads of raffle tickets were purchased. Congratulations to raffle prize winners!! A grand sum of £2000 was raised for the Northern Ireland Leukaemia Research Fund. The family of Bailey Russell in whose memory this run was organised attended the event.
The afternoon would not have been such a success without the tireless help of all those who provided music, refreshments, first aid cover, breakdown support and who helped set up and clear up. A great team effort resulted in a safe and very worthwhile day. A special thanks to Lisa, Gareth, Vivien, Ciara, Tommy Heslip, the McKnight family, Victor, William, Nathan, the Cleaning Doctor, all those who marshaled the course, prize sponsors, A One staff and not forgetting all those bikers who came along. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the day – we look forward to seeing you all again at our next venture. ~Aaron Clydesdale~
